Yes the motor has to be in front of the driver, shocks, so the axles are not solid mounted (like a funny car), a minimum of inch of travel, self starting, full body, 20.00 sand tires unlimited, wheelie bar. I hope this answers your questions.HAMMERDOWN

| Joe, I know we are working with Vern, our tech inspector, to get the rules out. Someone was working on a rear engine car, they were thinking of running it in Pro Mod. That was the reason for the post. How do you have time to be on this website, shouldn't you be finishing your Top Fuel car?HAMMERDOWN |

| Yes, the motor has to be in front of the driver. Just think if we allowed rear engine cars, that would be the Fugowie Jeep. The class would be done. The whole idea was to have a competitive class for somewhat of a resemblance to a sand jeep, and see how fast they could go on 20's. AS of right now there are 4 being built. Next year there should be at least an 8 car field. Should be interesting.HAMMERDOWN |

Wes, The "funny car style" we are referring to is an altered or funny car chassis. Those chassis are very narrow and a conventional body would not fit and look correct. As far as suspension, there must be a minimum of 1" of travel front and rear. On the brake system, there must be a minumum of two rear brakes (one on each rear wheel). We recoomend that all four wheels have brakes. Hope that helps!

Hi Rick there is nothing wrong with the Fugowie Jeep it was used as an example for a rear engine jeep if it was allowed in the Pro Mod class. We all know the Fugowie Jeep can run in the 2's and that would kill the class with one heavy hitter. That is the reason why Pro Mod is a front engine jeep/full body car with suspension on 20.00. We are sorry if we offended you in any way.
