Yes the motor has to be in front of the driver, shocks, so the axles are not solid mounted (like a funny car), a minimum of inch of travel, self starting, full body, 20.00 sand tires unlimited, wheelie bar. I hope this answers your questions.HAMMERDOWN |

Thank you to said those nice things about me, been busy finishing up the mouse machine. The Pro Mod class is sticking around, and the numbers are inconsequencial. That class is to see who can set up the fastest jeep on 20.00's. Nobody is doing it for the money.HAMMERDOWN |

YES GARY, THE 3.95 CLASS IS GREAT. WE HAVE A BLAST IN THIS CLASS! ! THE PRO MOD CLASS LOOKED VERY POPULAR AT FIRST, BUT AFTER 1/2 A SEASON LOOK AT IT NOW. .THIS BRINGS ME BACK TO MY MAIN POINT, WHAT IS THE MIN. FOR THIS CLASS TO STAY???(2,4,6,8,16)? I DO UNDERSTAND THAT SOME NEW CARS ARE BEING BUILT ,BUT IF THESE NEW ONES DROP OUT, THEN WHAT?
AGAIN I AGREE WITH GARY....THE RULES AS STATED BY HAMMER ARE CLEAR, DONT THINK MUCH MORE NEEDS TO BE SAID THERE. JUST THINK THAT NSDA NEEDS TO LOOK HARD AT THIS CLASS.

want to race in a heads up class, whats wrong with the 3.95 class, or if you are talking about going as fast as you can that's what you have the Pro-classes for, To me... which I know my opinion dont mean -hit, I believe the Racers are making this class more of a nitemare than the promotors are, I believe Mr Hammerdown was very explanatory on rules and regs on this class in its inception, I just believe that each racer will try to get any advantage they can... I know I would. I believe that if You go back to the original set of rules that where set for this class,they are pretty self-explanatory. It may seem unfortunate to some that, That Bob and Jeff Gills jeep has been the Top-Dog, but in the same token they have spent a lot of time on perfecting their set-up also. I believe this is just a really stout class, that is going to take a lot of homework and some money....
They say You just cant guarentee the prize money in the Sand HMMM... "YOU JUST CAN'T" |

i think mike is right! what can we do to enable other racers to be able to compete? being the top dog(gill) is nice!! but lonely if you're the only dog!!

IT LOOKS TO ME THAT EVERYONE IS ASKING THE WRONG QUESTIONS!
THE QUESTION SHOULD BE ....HOW MANY CARS WILL STAY IN THE CLASS ALL YEAR AND WHAT IS THE MIN CAR COUNT TO KEEP THE CLASS RUNNING?

NSDA,
You are leaving way to much to interpritation. Give us a number how narrow can we go? Is it the body width or frame? There are some of us out here who don't want our promod turned into a Pro 1 car only. You left yourself wide open allowing single seats with a "funnycar cage". As I see it now there are alot of rules and regs for only 2 cars in the class. Open it up for more competition!

Snake, I believe that your Bronco would be legal. From what you have described it fits into the class. Chachy remembers the vehicle better than I do and from his description it is legal also. Hopefully that helps!

jody, would my bronco be legal? it is narrow & the body is hinged in the rear, it has front engine,full suspension,20.00's,self starting, & 92" wb. the body is 40" wide,all steel. single seat. mike

Hi Rick there is nothing wrong with the Fugowie Jeep it was used as an example for a rear engine jeep if it was allowed in the Pro Mod class. We all know the Fugowie Jeep can run in the 2's and that would kill the class with one heavy hitter. That is the reason why Pro Mod is a front engine jeep/full body car with suspension on 20.00. We are sorry if we offended you in any way.
