Just wondering why the TE car qualfing ladder is set up that 2.95 or closest to it is #1 and anything under is in the back of the pack. NHRA lets you quilify under the index in order of the fastest. Then you have to slow down to run the number. I know there are T/E cars that can post a fast number to get #1 and then slow down to 2.95. Like Tim Martin as an example. I think it is the way it should be. What do you think?

THE 2.95 INDEX IS LIKE ANY OTHER BRACKET CLASS. YOU NEED THE TEST RUNS TO TUNE THE CAR, NOT TO SEE HOW FAST IT WILL GO. THE INDEX LIMIT IS THERE FOR THE REASON THAT SWAG SAID, YOU GET THE BEST TUNERS IN THE WORLD TO SEE HOW CLOSE THEY CAN MAKE THERE CARS GET TO THE INDEX, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THE FASTES CAR OUT THERE TO WIN.

IN DRAG RACING, SECOND PLACE IS JUST THE LAST LOOSER.

IT'S ONLY RECREATIONAL RACING

I would think that you would use your qualifying passes to tune to that 2.95 index. Not run as fast as you can and then guess at a tune up for 1st round.

Rod that would be great but we're Flyin' out! We'll have to grab that beer when we get there Wednesday late afternoon! Pat wants to talk about Atoka. We want to come down for the Memorial Day Bash. We heard there is going to be a race too! Think you guys have room for two more? Swag, ya I hear about the lane choice. With our T/A car I would agree, but for us with the T/E car It doesn't make much if any differance. Basically it's a T/A car back way down so fortunatly it isn't too picky about the track.

YEP LEFT WAS THE FASTER LANE...BUT NO,NOT BECAUSE OF THE WIND.IT WAS HEAD ON MOST OF THE TIME.
HECK I DONT KNOW WHY, IT JUST IS.
THE POINT IS LANE CHOICE IS IMPORTANT, HENCE THE Q. LADDER IS IMPORTANT.

Left lane, wind was right to left but having never been there I dont know why the left was the fastest. I guess cuz Dennis was in it and said something like "put it on 100% this is the final".
