I would like to see a points race that dosnt have a minimum number of races. This way if you cant make some of the races you may still be in the points race. Everyone could have a chance to win this way. ok lets here what the racers think.

[red]I agree because not everyone can make all the races stuff comes up so there should be a good number of events in the points race to where if you dont make one event it won't affect you so much!!! my .02

THE WAY TO HELP THINGS WITH THE POINTS IS TO SAY (PICK A NO.) HAVE 8 POINTS RACES BUT YOU COUNT THE BEST FIVE. THAT WAY YOU CAN MISS 1,2, OR 3 RACES AND STILL BE IN THE POINTS CHASE.

Grumpinator I dont think it would be possible because not every race has the same number of cars in the class so giving you less or more points if there was always a set number like in a national 16 car field 4 rounds then I think it would work but not in a regular race where theres no limit you can have 5 rounds one race,7 the next,3 the next so if you won the race with 3 rounds but didn't make the race with 7 rounds the person that won it will get more points than you!! so i don't think that would be fair!!! my 2 cents

ACTUALLY CAR COUNT DOES NOT MATTER WHEN YOU FIGURE POINTS. IF YOU HAVE 8 (OR 20) RACES AND ONLY COUNT THE POINTS FOR THE "BEST" FIVE RACES FOR EACH PERSON IT WOULD GIVE EVERYONE A MAXIMUM OF 5 RACES TOWARDS THE TOTAL SEASON'S POINTS FOR THE CATAGORY THEY RACE. SO LET'S SAY SOME RACERS HAVE CAR PROBLEMS DURING THE BEGINNING RACES, IF THEY FIX THE CAR THEY COULD STILL HAVE A CHANCE AT WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP. OR, THIS GIVES A DRIVER THAT IS UP IN THE POINTS AFTER 5 RACES THE OPTION TO ELECT NOT TO RACE DURING RACE 6, 7 OR 8 AND COULD STILL BE IN THE SEASON'S TOP POINTS CHASE.

Wouldn't it matter because of rounds isn't the points determined by registration/round/win
example
(5 reg/2 round/10 win)(POINTS)
one race u have 5 rounds and you win it you make 25 points but the next race you cant go and there was 7 rounds 29 points... he would have beat you do to goin two extra rounds the race before and that wouldnt be fair even though if you take your best 5 out of 8!!!!do to the fact you dont get thesame amount of rounds every race!!!

| The points do need to be changed for 2007 and they will! It is not fair to give someone 10 points for first place, that is equal to 5 rounds, that is pretty hard make up, it will take some time. I do not understand electronics in the sand. Where do you start, Transbrake, shifter, cigarette lighter, them Swag boys are some beautiful people,when does there next album come out? HAMMER DOWN |

10 POINTS TO REGISTER W/ONE PASS.
20 POINTS 1ST ROUND LOOSER.
40 POINTS 2ND. ROUND LOOSER.
60 POINTS 3RD. ROUND LOOSER.
80 POINTS R.U.
100 POINTS WINNER
IF MORE THAN 4 RD. JUST KEEP ADDING 20 POINTS.
ELECTRONICS? YOU MUST BE TALKING ABOUT PUTTING A KARAOKE MACHINE ON THE RACE CAR

| i would like to sumit an idea for consideration: what if points were only awarded to the last four rounds of eliminations. you git points for registration, and you git points for every round win containing 16 cars or less. that way it doesn't matter if you win a race thats large or small but you would certanly still be in the points if you couldn't get to a race or two provided you done well in others. |

THE ONE ABOUT AVOIDING TIES, ADDING ONE POINT FOR EVERY ROUND WOULD HELP.ALSO IN THE HEADS UP CLASSES WHY NOT AWARD QUALIFYING POINTS & RECORD RUN POINTS? NSDA MAY NEED TO START KEEPING THEIR OWN RECORDS.AND ALL ROUNDS NEED TO COUNT.

HOW ABOUT COUNTING THE POINTS BACKWARDS, START WITH THE WINNER (100) RUNNER UP (90) AND SO ON. THAT WAY IF THE CAR COUNT IS LOW FOR THE CLASS YOU WILL GET THE SAME POINTS.
IN DRAG RACING, SECOND PLACE IS JUST THE LAST LOOSER. |

| The first race is just to get the feet wet CB, that is why the test and tune on Friday is free with your paid entry. The lanes at San Jacinto are going to be 45 feet wide. That should give everybody some elbow room! The running order is almost complete so everyone can get a better idea for time trials, qualifying, and eliminations.HAMMERDOWN |

| How we do our points is 5 points for each round and the winner gets an additional 5 points. We have had real good luck and is easy to keep up with. |
