Jody/Chachy
Is the format for Primm going to be the same as the spring race? Pro race Friday, Sportsman Saturday, and Pro again on Sunday? I liked the format and am wondering if it is going to be the same. I need as many chances as I can get against that Swag crew.
Thanks Jeff

The format will be ran the same with Pro on Friday and Sunday and Sportsman on Sarturday. However a few things have changed for this race. The Sunday event will only count towards the points series.
Saturday Sportsman classes (S1-2/MS1-2) will only be for NSDA Sportman Series point members however if the 28 cars registered for S1 do not show or do not register prior to Saturday morning we will open registration until we have 28 cars for S1, this will stand for all sportsman classes. It is up to the drivers to check with the NSDA Ladies at the front gate to see if there are any available slots. ** HINT HINT for all the Point members in the sportsman class PRE- REGISTER don't lose your sport**
The schedule is complete for the Primm race and will be released in a few days along with Race Info/Payouts etc.

Ok "CHACHY" You are saying if we do no PRE - REGISTER we may not be able to race???? Is that going to be for all classes or just Sport???
That would suck if I drove 3 hours and #2 in sport points and you tell me that I can not race.............
Not a very good Idea...........

Speed,
I think what he is saying is that the 28 cars registered for the sport points will have a spot until Saturday morning, if you have not registered by then, your spot will open up for someone else that may not be registered for the points. That's what it sounds like to me.??? |

NO POINTS ON FRIDAY SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. NOT EVERYONE CAN MAKE IT ON FRIDAY, PLUS THE MAIN SHOW IS ON SUNDAY! WHY LIMIT SPORT TO 28. WHY NOT 32, IT TAKES 5 ROUNDS FOR 32 OR 28. PLUS ITS ONLY 2 MORE PAIRS IN THE 1ST RD. FOR EACH CLASS.
JEFF, LETS MEET IN THE FINALS ON BOTH DAYS!

Let me see if I can clarify things on the Primm schedule. The problem we have been having is that Saturday is a very long day. We can only send so many cars down the track during a day and we need to limit the amount of cars that go down the track on Saturday. Our idea is, we are limiting the entries to the sport class to members only (sportsman points members). In sportsman 1, we currently have 28 members. If, by Saturday morning, we only have 25 sportsman 1 points members who have registered to race, we will open it up for the three other spots to be filled. This way, people who are in the sportsman points chase will not be forced to miss a race if we just limit it to a certain amount of cars. We are giving the points members the first choice on registering. We can`t afford to have 40-50 cars in each of the sportsman classes due to time restraints to finish the program on Saturday. Hopefully this makes sense.
As far as points only on Sunday, We didn`t feel it was fair to have two points races in one weekend. If a racer is in the points chase, but cannot make this particular race, that racer would be missing two races instead of one. We are also adding points races to the pro classes and no-one else. Sportsman, tf, ta, and te do not have double points or two races in the same weekend. We want to keep it fair accross the board.
We hope that everyone understands where we are coming from with these ideas as we put alot of thought on making the best scenario for all racers! As always, we are open to suggestions on making a smoother running program for our future races!

Does the pre registration apply for sunday or is it as always?
2nd place is better than 3rd. |

The pro classes in Primm for the cars pay $1200 to win each day. If you win both Friday and Sunday, there is a $600 bonus.
The pre-registration forms will be like the ones we have had in the past with the addition of the Friday pro classes. It is not necessary to pre-register. It is not necessary to pre-register for the pro classes.

Sometime I should read things a little closer......
But the POINTS for friday.....
The way the POINTS work NSDA only counts the best 5 races...
So what is not far about it? That is the hole point of only counting the best 5 races....Unless I am not reading close enough again....
But what do I know.... Just it has been way to long with out a race...
The longer we take off the more new stuff the car gets....

Todd, even though we only count the best five races, if we add more events, it gives a racer a chance of improving the best five. There are more chances of recovering from a bad race when there are more events to enter. The pro classes would be the only class that would have this luxury. Hope that makes sense.
