To our NSDA family and friends, Much to our disappointment, we must announce the cancelation of the September race in San Jacinto. Permitting for this race was completed and approved many weeks ago, however, it has been brought to the attention of The California Game and Fish Department there needs to be some testing done on the wildlife habitat before a sand drag race can be held at the new location. NSDA is confident we can overcome this obstacle and continue to push forward. We are discouraged by those who continue to make it difficult in bringing racing into the Hemet - San Jacinto Valley and hope those involved can look at all the positive things the sand drag racers bring to the local community. Again, we sincerely apologize for the many inconveniences this has caused and look forward to seeing you all in Primm for the largest sand drag event in the country. More information will be coming soon on points and race format which will be modified for Primm to make up for this hurdle we must overcome.
Respectfully,
NSDA

My heart is saddened by this news! We were so looking forward to getting through summer and seeing all of your happy, shiny faces as a reward!
Keep your chins up! I am confident that this will be rectified soon and that we will be happily racing in our permanent home by the first of the year, or Christmas! That would be some present!
See you in Primm! Sherice and Phil |

All of the RESOCES, TIME, ENERGY, BLOOD, SWEET, TEARS AND MONEY that has been put into the new home for the NSDA by the NSDA's Family and Friends has been stepped on by one person that could not run a good race if they had everyone from the NSDA do it for him. I have said it the past and some people defended him and look where this has gotten us. So to the NSDA's Family and Friends keep your head up and just move forward and good things will come to good people...Just think Primm is going to be spectacular....
See you all in PRIMM................And hopefully the six letter word finds someone else to try and pick on.....

We are all sad by this news but you know the best promoter in sand drag history wont give up easy! We cant wait for Primm to see everyone and get back to what we love... Cause like the great Ricky Bobby always says "I WANNA GO FAST!"
If you guys wanna get dirty this weekend come out and support Team Canidae in the MORE F&L Fuel 250 in Memory of Shorty Powell. Shorty was a friend of Our Desert Team and it should be a great race this saturday at 8am! followed by a chili cook off! so hope to see you out there! md and team canidae. |
