I am new at sand drags, couple of days ago I won my first race but that's not important for the moment.
I have a Chevy 1986 truck.
-4x4 with a 2.72 gear transfer case. -TH350 Tranny -350 Small Block (460HP never done a dyno) -Tire size 32inch -Axle gear 3.73
I am doing 5.88 seconds to 6 second ....
I want to do 5.50 without spending more money, I am on a low budget what do you guys recommend to do.... I have a axle gears 4.11 and a 700R4 tranny too... What do you guys recommend to do to lower my timing?

| Unfortunately going fast and not spending money is an oxymoron. Don't worry about going fast, just have fun. Good luck. |

MINGS CORRECT, HAVE FUN, PLUS MORE MONEY=BETTER E.T.
COLDWATER, IS A MAN THAT THINKS LIKE A SWAG . . . JUST ADD JUICE! NEWBE, A 350 THAT MAKES 460 HP MUST HAVE GOOD PARTS, SO ADDING 100-150 HP WILL NOT HURT A THING. I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING, YOU WILL SPEND ALOT MORE MONEY REGEARING YOUR TRUCK, COMPARED TO ADDED A SMALL NITROUS KIT.
RACE ON AND HAVE FUN SWAG |

| I will add money to my truck. But not at this moment I want to improve and make sure I am using the correct gears with the correct engine. I am not against NOS, Blowers, or Big engines... I just want to improve my truck and compete... :D |

| wieght is cheaper than horsepower, start gutting your pickup, Glass is heavy, plexi every where but windsheild, gut inner panels front fenders, bed, doors, dash, but now that i did alot of two finger typing your gonna tell itsa daily driver, nitrous, not nooossh, done right is dependable and safe...... GOOD LUCK says the DUCK |

what tires do you have and what rpm do you turn and when on the track do you hit 3rd gear. also are you running 4lo or 4hi. I had a 72 short bed chevy truck with less horsepower and ran 5.1 with 150 nos and 5.4s with out nos it can be done. i also drove this daily to work bit pricey on 1/2 92 and 1/2 110.

Hey there new to sand drags! Welcome to the sport. First off, pay no attention to the duck. He won't even take a saw to his own go-kart. 2nd, he's 2/10 a sec slower than my buggy and mine is heaver than his. 3rd, duck season opens in May 15th,16th,17th. Sorry, but as we only have one duck you only get one shot at him.

Well I did try the fix-a-flat. It was a week before I could poop again. Tire slime works better.
